T Duncan & Company is one of the largest legal businesses in the north east of Scotland outwith Aberdeen and Dundee.
Six solicitors, including the two partners, Kenneth Bruce and Nick Markowski, work from the Legal Office of the firm at 192 High Street, Montrose.
We are very much a general legal practice. We provide a comprehensive range of legal services to clients, old and new, both in their personal affairs and with regard to business and commerce.
Kenneth Bruce is the partner responsible for the Property and Private Client Department of the firm. This department provides legal services to clients from all walks of life, including residential and commercial conveyancing, advice and assistance with regard to leases, wills, the administration of estates, and the needs of the elderly, including powers of attorney and guardianships.
Nick Markowski, who leads the Court Department of T Duncan & Company, is one of the best known figures within the courts of the north east of Scotland. Together with his assistant solicitor, Julie Young, Nick offers an extensive range of criminal and civil court work, legal representation and other litigation. We also provide specialist assistance in the areas of personal injuries and employment matters.
Within the Family Law and Matrimonial Department, Julie Young is experienced in assisting her clients through the difficulties experienced upon separation and the break-up of a marriage or relationship. She can provide detailed guidance with regard to the children of a relationship, maintenance issues, and the division of matrimonial or joint property.

T Duncan & Company offer a full Legal Aid service, including Criminal Legal Aid, Civil Legal Aid and Legal Advice and Assistance.
